Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: October 3, 2026
North of Normal, a project of Clear View Advantage, is committed to making this website and its content accessible to as many people as possible.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. We believe stories, conversations, and community resources should be available to people with a wide range of abilities, devices, and technologies.
Our Goal
We aim to improve the accessibility and usability of the North of Normal website over time by:
- Using clear page structure and headings.
- Providing descriptive links and labels.
- Supporting keyboard navigation where the website platform allows.
- Using readable text and thoughtful color contrast.
- Providing transcripts, captions, summaries, or alternative formats when reasonably practical.
- Reviewing forms and navigation for usability.
- Correcting reported accessibility issues when possible.
We look to widely recognized accessibility practices, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), as a helpful reference, while recognizing that accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a fixed destination.
Podcast and Audio Content
North of Normal is centered around conversation and audio storytelling.
Some podcast episodes may include transcripts, summaries, captions, or related written content. Not all episodes or older content may have complete accessibility features available.
If you need an accessible version of content that is not currently available, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
Third-Party Content
This website may include embedded podcast players, videos, payment tools, maps, social media content, or links to third-party services.
These services are operated independently and may have their own accessibility practices. While we cannot control third-party platforms, we welcome feedback if a feature creates an accessibility barrier.
Reporting an Accessibility Issue
If you experience difficulty using this website or accessing any content, please let us know.
When contacting us, it may be helpful to include:
- The page or feature involved
- A description of the issue
- The device or browser you were using
- Any assistive technology involved
- The format or accommodation that would be most helpful

We appreciate your feedback and will make reasonable efforts to improve access as the website grows.
Updates
This Accessibility Statement may be updated from time to time as the website, technology, and accessibility practices evolve.
